Ahti Connect – ‘Behavioral change: How can you reduce socio-economic health differences?’
4 April 2019 @ 15:30 - 18:00
You have probably heard someone in your area saying: ‘Tomorrow, I will really start exercising’ or ‘I need to eat healthier’. A week later, none of these good intentions are done. Despite all national campaigns and other efforts, it is hard to change everyone’s behavior for a healthier life. Recent research shows that people with lower education live generally 6 years shorter than average and live 15 years less in a healthy state. However, reaching this particularly group is a major challenge. This is partly due to low literacy, low health skills and a low income. But how are we going to change this? How can we all promote behavioral change to stimulate a healthier life in an effective way?
You are welcome to share your expertise, ask your questions and join the discussion on Thursday April 4, from 15:30 until 18:00 at ahti Connect. Increase your knowledge and let’s come to new insights together and come up with solutions for a healthier Netherlands.
